Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill is happy to announce its contribution of more than $140,000 to local nonprofits since it began Cornbread for a Cause in December of 2015. The restaurant group’s corporate giving program chooses local organizations that benefit each quarter from sales of its famous, freshly baked Z’Tejas cornbread.
Now through March 31, a portion of cornbread sales from Z’Tejas’ five Valley locations will go to the Tillman Foundation and its Tillman Scholar Program. Pat Tillman Foundation invests in military veterans and their spouses through academic scholarships – building a diverse community of leaders committed to service to others. Those organizations that have benefitted from this campaign in the past include Military Assistance Mission in Arizona, Scottsdale Active 20-30 Club and Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL). Most recently, Phoenix Children’s Hospital received a $17,000 donation.
