The Scottsdale community of Desert Village received a much-needed facelift. Wild Mare Designs developed a branding plan with the DV’s Board of Directors that set out to re-design their neighborhood in a way that would capitalize on its great location, update its look, and ultimately improve their property values. The neighborhood was built in the late 90’s and is located in a very popular location at Pinnacle Peak and Pima Road—yet largely remained a secret.
“The neighborhood has an ideal location with walking distance to the Desert Village Shopping Center in the heart of North Scottsdale. Because it lacked proper branding, signage and curb appeal—its property values and brand recognition were ultimately stunted,” explained Terrina Rishel, Chief Design Mare.
Wild Mare Designs began with creating a neighborhood logo that served as inspiration for new entrance, street, and mailbox building signs. Additionally, in keeping with their community name, WMD collaborated with Desert Foothills Landscape to create a landscape design that complemented and highlighted the new entrance signage and 3-D agave artwork. The plan also called for new gates, remodeling the entrance to the community pool and mailbox building, hiding a large power box, and a one-of-kind custom doggie waste bin that is a far cry from commercial-looking.
“Every design looks like an individual piece of art that flows with the next, and in total makes a great first impression. Our neighborhood has a beautiful new look! Improved property values are sure to be a result,” said Jim Enke, President of DV HOA.
Wild Mare Designs combines a classic, rustic aesthetic with a contemporary twist, resulting in timeless one-of-a-kind installations. Collaborating with other vendors, we specialize in bringing our designs to life for residential renovation, community branding and redesign.
