Michelle Branch, a pop singer/songwriter from the early 2000’s an an Arizona native, is touring once again.
It’s been 14 years since Branch released “Hotel Paper,” her second studio album featuring the hit breakup anthem, “Are You Happy Now?” Before almost completely slipping out of the spotlight, in 2007 she was the second half of the short-lived country duo, The Wreckers. In an interview with Elle, Branch attributed her break from the music scene to issues with her record label, but said she “never stopped making music.”
Now, Branch has a new single under her belt, “Hopeless Romantic” and an album under the same name. While the album is choc-full of breakup ballads, the powerful beats and upbeat rhythms make it impossible not to dance along to.
It’s certainly a departure from the 16-year-old pop music fans came of age with, but 33-year-old Branch won’t disappoint.
Branch will perform at Crescent Ballroom July 26 at 8 p.m. The show is a 21 and over event. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketfly.
