Donations are needed for two local organizations that work to help the homeless community.
Camp Bravo is a local, military-style group based in Camp Conklin near the Santa Rita Park in Tucson. They provide shelter and food for over 30 homeless veterans in Southern Arizona. Bravo is most in need of food items such as milk and meat because donations have dwindled over the past few months since the holidays. Camp Bravo helps veterans suffering with drug abuse, PTSD and more find a second chance at life.
They are looking for donations of food, toiletries, water bottles, and gas cards or pre-paid debit cards that help pay for Veterans to go to their appointments.
The Salvation Army is also dealing with shortages. The Salvation Army Hospitality House in Tucson tries to put families in motels when all their beds are full. Both organizations say a little bit of donations can go a long way and make a big difference.
If you’re interested in donating to Bravo Base, you can drop off items at 550 E 19th Street in Tucson or visit their Facebook page:
