One of the most popular hip hop hitmakers is heading to the valley.

Grammy-Award winner Kendrick Lamar is touring the country for his DAMN tour, which will make a stop at Gila River Arena in Glendale on Wednesday, July 12. Opening for him is Travis Scott and D.R.A.M., the rapper behind smash single Broccoli.

Kendrick hails from Compton, California and he began to gain popularity in 2010 after the release of Overly Dedicated, his first retail album. In 2012, he released his major label debut, good kid, m.A.A.d city, and it was met with critical and commercial success, debuting at No.2 on the US Billboard 200 chart. This album included the top 40 singles “Swimming Pools (Drank)“, “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe“, and “Poetic Justice“. He released his critically acclaimed third album To Pimp a Butterfly in 2015, for which he won a Grammy Award for the lead single, “i.” He dropped his fourth album, DAMN, earlier this year, and his singles Humble and DNA have climbed up the charts.
