Baseball fans and the valley community are invited to come together for a worthy cause.

D-Backs Race Against Cancer  will return for another year of fun, family and fighting cancer! The 5K & 1 Mile Banana Boat Family Fun Walk will take place on this weekend on Sunday, April 9. Beat the heat and get your exercise in early- the 5K is scheduled to start at 7:15 a.m. and the Banana Boat Family Fun Walk will kick off at 8:30 a.m.

Both courses begin and end at Chase Field. All funds raised will benefit non-profit organizations statewide that provide screening, treatment, and support for cancer patients and their families.

This tradition is presented by the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and the University of Arizona Cancer Center at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital. 

Registration will remain open until Saturday, April 8 at 5 p.m., so there is still plenty of time for families and friends to register and join in the fun while fighting to find a cure for cancer!
