Billing it as the “Grand Opening of Arizona’s Fashion Headquarters,” The AZ Apparel Foundation, LabelHorde, AZ Fashion Source and the City of Tempe are pleased to announce the grand opening of the new AZ Fashion Building in Tempe.
The Arizona Apparel Foundation provides the knowledge and resources needed to foster Arizona’s fashion industry. Their vision is to create the next U.S. fashion city in metropolitan Phoenix, to support cutting edge research and innovation in wearable tech and to build a sustainable and exciting new industry in Arizona.
To celebrate the opening of the new headquarters in Tempe, they are hosting a self-guided building tour, informational presentation and fashion show on Saturday, December 10th.
Event attendees receive a “passport” at the door to use as a guide and explore the 23,000 sq. ft., three-story fashion incubator building. Upon visiting each room, visitors get a stamp in their passport; the filled passport may then be entered into a prize raffle. On the runway, visitors learn more about the building and the foundation and attend a fashion show featuring the designs of Sillin, Inc., a local brand designed and manufactured in the building. The evening will wrap up with the raffle drawing.
