Upcoming: Garlic Festival in the Grove

The Queen Creek Olive Mill is hosting it’s 3rd annual Garlic Festival on September 24th and 25th. This huge 2-day event will offer organically grown garlic from the garden, only while supplies last, along with live music and valley food trucks with special garlic dishes! There will also be a beer garden, garlic gelato, local artists, games, tours, giveaways and cooking demos!

Admission is free. The Queen Creek Olive Mill is a unique, family-owned sustainable olive farm and mill. They produce Arizona’s only extra virgin olive oil and strive to connect the community with their food. This event will allow people of all ages to get their garlic on and support local businesses, with ten food trucks on sight and the live music of the Chris Putrino Band, Pride Through Strife and Project K-OS.

I am a multimedia journalist and proud graduate from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication. I am originally from Minnesota, and I love learning about my second home, Arizona, and all of it's awesome communities through my contributions to My Local News! When I was a little girl, I created my own "newspaper" for my neighborhood and spent all my time writing, printing and sending each edition to my loyal subscribers (AKA my family and neighbors!). Now, it's a dream come true to be able to write everyday and have a positive impact on communities through my reporting. In my free time, I love to travel, hike, cook and spend time with my family and friends.
