Two Roughriders Earn All-American Honors For Softball

Two standout softballers were recently recognized for their amazing accomplishments.

Jaydee Boursaw and Makayla Guerra of Yavapai College Softball were named first team All-Americans by the NJCAA. This is exciting news for the student-athletes, who made quite the difference to their team this season. Bourses was named the NFCA Catcher of the Year after hitting .444 and smashing 28 home runs. She recorded 84 RBIs in 2018 along with a .944 slugging percentage. The California native was selected by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association a few weeks ago.

Overall, Yavapai College has earned nine NJCAA first team All-American awards and 17 throughout program history. Congrats to all recipients on a great season!
