Trunk Space to Host Special Event on Thursday

Trunk Space, one of downtown Phoenix’s gems, is hosting a special event this Thursday, March 23rd.

Join your friends and neighbors at the March “Get Your PHX” event, appropriately titled “F.U.N.” storytelling.

From 5:30 to 7:30 pm, join the community for a special event designed to break the stigma about failure in business.

“F.U.N.” Phoenix, debuted last October on the International Day for Failure, and it’s part of a global movement celebrating stories of failed businesses and projects and moving on afterward. After first being introduced in Mexico City in September 2012, “F.U.N.” is celebrated in as many as 200 cities in 70 countries.

Share the failure at this event where entrepreneurs of all levels of success share their stories and listen to others. This event exists to break free from the stigmas surrounding failure and to instead view shortcomings and mistakes as positive steps everyone must overcome on the road to success.  Learning from stories of failure will help guide others on their paths to success.

Speakers are invited to share the details of their projects and the mistakes they made along the way and lessons they learned. They have the option to select 10 images to tell their story in 7 minutes or less. A Q&A session and a period for networking follows.

Doors open at 5:30 pm and a listening party/artist spotlight will begin at this time. The event kicks off at 6:45 pm with introductions, and at 8:00 pm, the networking session and music will finish off the night.

Don’t miss this unique experience to celebrate your failure and look forward to success!

I am a multimedia journalist and proud graduate from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication. I am originally from Minnesota, and I love learning about my second home, Arizona, and all of it's awesome communities through my contributions to My Local News! When I was a little girl, I created my own "newspaper" for my neighborhood and spent all my time writing, printing and sending each edition to my loyal subscribers (AKA my family and neighbors!). Now, it's a dream come true to be able to write everyday and have a positive impact on communities through my reporting. In my free time, I love to travel, hike, cook and spend time with my family and friends.
