A new option for commuters will be available next week.
The Tucson Transportation Department, Sun Tran, and Sun Link will introduce a new three-day transit pass pilot program on Tuesday, Aug. 15.
According to a Sun Tran news release, after their pass is first activated, customers will have access to unlimited rides on Sun Link street cars, Sun Tran buses and select Sun Shuttle routes for 72 consecutive hours.
The pilot program will be tested for six months through February 15 of next year, and it’s success will determine whether the transit systems will adopt the pass permanently.
