Many enjoy attending wine tasting events, beer tastings, and other local food and beverage events; it is what makes the social and cultural life of the city of Phoenix and its agglomerations, one of the most vibrant and liveable cities in the country.
Our aim is to enhance this growing vibrant social scene which is why we have created Cognac Lovers AZ, an organization that promotes cognac tastings, education and food pairing.
Cognac consumption in the US is great and spirits in general are doing great right now in the US, by many accounts. According to MarketWatch (March 2015), “Cognac is approaching a defining moment in the United States. The explosive popularity of super-premium brown spirits and the high-end cocktail culture have created new opportunities for the French spirit. “The U.S. Cognac category is large and profitable.”
Studies have shown that the US remains the biggest consumer of cognac, closely followed by China, Japan, and England; although, the main foyers of consumption are currently concentrated on the East Coast and in the North Pacific region of the country.
Almost everyone has at least heard about Cognac. It is a world-famous drink, noble, which is still enshrined in myth. We intend to make this emblematic drink popular in Arizona in terms of appreciation and the consumption.
We offer exquisite, upscale soirees of Cognac tasting and food pairing in a luxurious resort setting. Our events focus on cognac tasting, education about cognac, its history and its making. We also make sure that our guests are taken through a personalized and interactive journey through history, storytelling, business facts, and the geography of the very picturesque region of Cognac, France.
As deeply passionate about cognac as we are at Cognac Lovers AZ, we truly want to educate the public about cognac, awaken the dormant community of cognac curious, enthusiasts, and/or connoisseurs in Phoenix and its agglomerations, and help them to enjoy more fully the world-famous drink, cognac.
