College Signing Day for Tempe Prep Scholar Athletes

Two of Tempe Prep’s scholar athletes signed college letters-of-intent today for Division 1 college swimming. Both are future engineers, getting accepted into many competitive engineering programs with scholarships.

Jeffrey Snoddy, who will study Computer Engineering, signed with Louisiana State University

David Hudson, who is also an Academic All-American Scholastic Swimmer, will study Biomedical Engineering, signed with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in California.

Speaking highly of his high school that has the state’s highest percentage of public school students that graduate from college, Hudson says, “Tempe Prep has prepared me immensely for what is ahead. The broad liberal arts education, with a focus on understanding rather than merely memorizing facts, has given me a bigger picture way of thinking that I know will benefit me in both college and my future career.”

Looking ahead, Hudson beams, “I am incredibly excited to work with the team and study in Cal Poly’s College of Engineering. The coach and all the people I have met at Cal Poly are amazing. I’m just excited all around for swimming with them next year!”

Ready to embark on his adventure in Baton Rouge, Snoddy says, “LSU has exceptional athletic programs and I am excited and honored to be a Tiger. I bonded with the team immediately and have complete faith in the awesome coaching staff. Academically, the Engineering College will be an amazing opportunity as I continue my education majoring in Computer Engineering. Geaux Tigers!”
