Teen Challenge Set to Host Back to School Bash

Support your local community and at-risk youth at Teen Challenge of Arizona’s Annual Back to School Bash!
For the eighth year in a row, the local organization will host a free community gathering, bringing youth and those in need together with valuable resources and an exciting experience!
Teen Challenge of Arizona hosts this family-friendly event every year in an effort to promote the importance of elementary education for underprivileged youth in inner city Phoenix.
While the live entertainment, free food, raffle prizes and games are certainly a wonderful part of the event, the most meaningful and memorable aspect is the distribution of backpacks and school supplies. Teen Challenge, along with it’s community sponsors, will hand out over a thousand backpacks stuffed full of necessary school supplies for free to students in need. This will make a huge difference for underprivileged families, as it takes one worry off their shoulders- getting their kids prepped for the upcoming school year.
This event epitomizes Teen Challenge of Arizona’s mission to provide youth, adults and families with an effective and comprehensive Christian Faith-based solution to life-controlling problems in order to become productive members of society. By bringing the community together to make a difference, Teen Challenge enables those in need and at risk to become

mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well and spiritually alive.

Families who celebrate at the Back to School Bash will enjoy a gospel message, a barbeque dinner and live musical performances.

As the nation struggles with a slew of problems, ranging from the U.S. opioid epidemic to racism to poverty-stricken families, it is more important than ever that friends, relatives and neighbors come together to support one another and incredible causes such as quality education.

This year’s Back to School Bash is set for Saturday, July 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Phoenix Teen Challenge (1515 W. Grand Avenue Phoenix, Arizona 85007).

For more information on the event, including sponsorship opportunities, please visit the official website or contact Mike Cordova at 602-271-4084, extension 1263.
