Tanker Truck Crash Closes Interstate 10 West of Willcox
A motor vehicle crash involving a tanker truck of hydrogen peroxide shut down westbound traffic on Interstate 10 in Cochise County for about 12 hours on Thursday, August 30.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says the closure at milepost 330 began around 3 p.m. and continued through about 3 a.m. on Friday, August 31. That was after the tanker truck overturned on I-10 at milepost 329, west of Willcox.

One patient was taken to the nearest hospital, and no further information was readily available about their condition. Although there was no health threat to the general public, motorists were asked to steer clear of the area as emergency response teams assessed the situation and cleaned up the mess.

There was no health threat to the general public. However, the public was asked to stay away from the area. The eastbound lanes of traffic were not affected.
