Almost every Sunday, these free events will take over the park, offering culture and concerts combined! From noon to 4 p.m, the park will transform into a minifestival of sorts, featuring performances from the Valleys top musicians, fun, family-friendly activities, and an arts-and-crafts market.

Enjoy the seasonable, lovely weather outside and spend time with your family, friends and neighbors! The following Sundays will feature events: January 29, February 12, February 19, February 26, March 5, March 19, March 26 and April 2. Please note that this schedule is subject to change and inclement weather may cause cancellations.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own meals and picnics, or purchase delicious food from the grill, including snacks, cocktails, beer, wine and soft drinks.

In addition to the musical performances and family activities, there will also be docent-led sculpture tours in the park and free admission to the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. 

This upcoming weekend’s show on January 29 will feature soul singer-writer, drummer and percussionist Miguel Melgoza and his fellow musicians, and Jan Sandwich & Friends will take the stage later in the afternoon. Throughout February, expect performances from Muskellunge, featuring music and songs about Arizona and Brian Chartrand and his folk music.

The event on February 19 is called “La Gran Fiesta: A Celebration of Latin and Hispanic Culture,” and it will feature a variety of local cultural groups including Mariachi Juvenil de Mi Tierra and Filipiniana Cultural Dance Group of Arizona. The lineup of musical performances includes flamenco and pop group Flor y Piedra Trio, salsa and Latin jazz artist Andres Martinez y Ritmo Latino, and the cultural band Salt Petal.

To wrap up February, listen to reggae and hip-hop from the Hourglass Cats and Latin blues with Los Morenos. Other artists scheduled for Sunday performances throughout the season includes Sistahs Too, Chuck Hall, Cold Shott and the Hurricane Horns (one of Arizona’s longest-running bands, having played for over 25 years) , Hans Olson, The Sugar Thieves, and French artists such as Trio de Lebert, Alexis Juliard, Cecile Hortensia, Alice Tatum and the Charles Lewis Quintet.
