
Tempe Community Action Agency (TCAA) will host a Summer Meals Campaign June 5 – 16 to help stock Tempe’s largest Food Pantry for the summer months. TCAA is looking for 10 local business champions to join the challenge of collecting non-perishable foods during this two-week period, with a goal of collecting the equivalent of 5,000 meals for the hungry. Summer is often a very challenging time for area families, many of whom, are already on tight budgets. Families participating in the school lunch program throughout the year face increase food costs when this program is not available to children during the summer months. With help from the local business community, TCAA seeks to change that by stocking their pantry shelves and feeding our most vulnerable children, individuals and families in need.
