Step Up Bisbee Naco, the local all-volunteer organization that strives to keep local residents safe and comfortable in their homes, received wonderful news earlier this month in the form of a $25,000 grant.
Cenpatico, the for-profit behavioral health agency with a contract for mental health services for Southern Arizona, presented Step Up with this check from the agency’s Community Reinvestment grant pool. Step Up specializes in helping elderly, disabled and low income homeowners by making necessary repairs for their home, and this donation will go a long way in allowing them to make a difference.
The gift was presented at Step Up’s annual wine tasting fundraiser at Cafe Roka on August 7th. The $25,000 grant is the largest award that Cenpatico presents. This money will go toward Step Up’s constant efforts with to give people in need a safer and more secure place to live.
