
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying and finding a suspected shoplifter.
Robbery and assault detectives with the department are looking for a man involved in a shoplifting incident on June 28 at a Goodwill store on East Fort Lowell Road near North Dodge Boulevard.
According to a release from the Sheriff’s Department, deputies received a call around 8 p.m. of a fight in progress, and they soon learned the suspect had assaulted employees while trying to leave the store. Security footage shows a single male entering the building, taking clothes and shoes and trying to leave without paying for the merchandise. Employees confronted him, and he fought for several minutes before getting away with the goods.
The suspect is described as 5 foot 6 or 5 foot 7 with a thin build, short black hair and brown eyes. The Sheriff’s Department says he is between 21 to 26 years old.
