Are you in the mood for a juicy hamburger, complete with all your favorite toppings? You’re in luck, because one of Tucson’s most popular burger joints is opening its third location on the city’s east side later this month.
The new Serial Grillers restaurant on Houghton Road is set to welcome customers for the first time on Friday, Sept. 21. Here, most burgers are named after notorious serial killers, and the array of tastes and flavors make it a must-visit.
The brainchild of brothers Travis and William Miller, Serial Grillers confirmed the opening date on Facebook. Plans for the third location were announced in the spring. The latest Serial Grillers Restaurant & Taproom will be located at 7585 S. Houghton Road; while the upcoming fourth addition to the franchise will open at a plaza currently under construction off of Interstate 10 and Cortaro Farms Road in Marana. A Dutch Brothers Coffee drive-thru will be its next-door neighbor.
The grand opening for the new location off of Houghton and Valencia will be filled with fun and delicious food. This location will be nearly three times the size of their second spot at 5737 E. Speedway. The restaurant originally began as a food truck, and first opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant born at 1970 W. River Road.
