Search for Suspect in Attempted Robbery

Pima County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in the search for the suspect in an attempted armed robbery at a fast food restaurant.

According to the official press release, on July 31, 2017 at approximately 9:00 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a robbery at the Jack in the Box located at 2985 West Valencia Road. Upon their arrival, deputies learned a man had produced gun while at the counter and demanded money. The staff member walked away, and the suspect then fled with no money.

Robbery detectives are working on the case and have obtained surveillance video in hopes of locating the suspect. He’s described as Hispanic or Native American in his forties with a dark complexion and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black Chicago Bulls hat, white shirt over his shoulders, blue striped polo style shirt, and jeans.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1. Anonymous tips can also be submitted, with the potential for a reward, by text, phone, or by going to 88CRIME.org. Learn more information on the official website of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
