Schools out and summer is in full swing, leaving some local kids and families without regular, healthy lunchtime meals.
That’s where the School Food Program comes into play. There’s others like it across the state, where a certain venue or location provides free meals during the days, giving kids a healthy and easy way to get a great meal.
The Cordes Lakes Community Center will be hosting the School Food Program through Friday, July 27. Anyone under the age of 18 is invited to enjoy a free breakfast and/or lunch. Their parents and guardians are encouraged to join them for a small fee.
Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., while lunch will be offered from 11 a.m. to noon.
The Cordes Lakes Community Center is located at 16357 S. Cordes Lakes Drive. For more information, please visit the official website of the School Food Program HERE.
