Bisbee’s creative spirit is alive with a vibrant arts and music scene. Join us on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 10 am to 8 pm for the Bisbee After 5 “Saints, Souls, Skeletons” Artwalk. Our galleries and shops are open late, with an invitation to shop and chat and enjoy the vibe of Old Bisbee in Fall as you wander from venue to venue. Here are this month’s featured events and sales:
EVENTS & OPENINGS:
“Nocturne,” an open juried exhibition, opens at the Tang Gallery on Saturday, October 8th. With a well-publicized call to artists, this exhibition is comprised of work by 13 artists from Arizona, California, Florida and New York. The show includes oil and acrylic paintings, monoprints, watercolors, silkscreens, and photographs based on the theme “Nocturne”. There will be an opening reception from 4 to 7 pm in conjunction with the “Bisbee after 5” Artwalk. The Tang Gallery is located at 32 Main Street, across from Cafe Roka. The exhibition continues until December 6.
“Tell Me What I See” ~ It’s always fun to stop by the Howard Kline Gallery at 23 Main Street to see what’s new and happening. Howard’s new word paintings use a lettering style incorporated into the painting composition so that the title acts as part of the design. The words are like a lead in an overture. Howard says, “I feel like these paintings are making a modernized statement about our world.” Giclee prints in smaller sizes of these new paintings are also available. See you at the artwalk!
