Fans of quilting and knitting have quite the fun weekend ahead of them in Tucson, with the 2017 Quilt Fiesta set to take over the Tucson Arena!

This is one of the largest shows in the Southwest United States, with over 300 quilters slated to display their finest fibers! The three-day-event will feature classes, tutorials, presentations, children’s activities, prizes and a large vendor mall. This 40th annual celebration of quilting is hosted by the Tucson Quilters Guild, an organization of avid quilters in Southern Arizona.

Lenore Crawford, a popular artist known for her fabric art, will appear as the guest speaker. She will give two presentations, one on Friday and one on Saturday, called “Fusing/Fabric Painting to Create an Art Quilt” and “Award-Winning Techniques for Fusing Fabrics”. There is no additional cost for these presentations.

Tickets are $18 and the show will be open at 9 am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
