Students in the Queen Creek Unified School District will return to class on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. To help families prepare, QCUSD has information for students and parents about bus routes for the 2018-2019 school year.
Families can look up details about their bus routes using this webpage. Information needed includes zip code, grade and/or school of the student, and address.
The district also has helpful tips for students and parents to ensure that each rider remains safe and each trip goes as smoothly as possible. These tips include:
• Have your student at his or her designated bus stop five minutes prior to the scheduled stop.
• Have your student stay at least 10 feet away from the pick up area until the bus comes to a complete stop and the driver motions for him/her to board.
• Please instruct your child to stay in his/her seat while the bus is in motion.
• If you meet your child at the bus stop at the end of the day, please be on time.
The Queen Creek Unified School District Transportation Department has 80 staff members and a fleet of 85 buses. Drivers cover 44 square miles while providing daily transportation to all eligible students of the district. QCUSD buses are also used for athletic events and special trips.
You can learn more about the department and bus safety at the upcoming Transportation Open House on July 31. The event which runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. will be held at the Edd Hennerley Transportation Facility located at 20820 S. Ellsworth Rd.
