Phoenix Police have arrested a 21-year-old man following a scary stabbing incident in south Phoenix.

Officers received reports of a stabbing near Interstate 17 and Central Avenue around noon on Tuesday. Witnesses reported seeing Christian Hernandez stab the victim, 40-year-old Timothy Boehler, before fleeing the scene aboard a bicycle.

When officers arrived, they quickly located the suspect nearby and arrested him. He was in possession of a knife at the time of his arrest.

Boehler was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
