Pioneer Title Agency’s Coconino County branches are proud to announce they are hosting several fundraisers to help fund the Killip Elementary School chess team’s trip to the United States Chess Federation Supernationals VI, taking place in Nashville, Tenn., May 12-14.
The Supernationals tournament is one of the largest chess tournaments in the country and occurs only once every four years for chess players in kindergarten through high school.
Each office in Coconino County and beyond, in fact, is encouraged to be active in their neighborhoods, giving back in time, fundraising efforts and financial contributions through the Pioneer Title Agency in Action community outreach program. This year, Pioneer has launched a new philanthropy program through their giving program called “Old School,” which encourages each office to team up with a local school and give back to them in some way.
“Pioneer Title believes strongly in giving back to our communities and all employees are encouraged to do the same,” said Brenda Silveus, Pioneer Title Agency Coconino County marketing director. “Through our new Old School philanthropy project, we are looking forward to impacting the community that will lead the future.”
To raise funds for the trip, the Coconino branches are offering employees a full week of “Dress Down” days for a $25 contribution, and employees are encouraged to wear buttons and keep a donation jar on their desk to spark a conversation about the fundraiser with Pioneer customers. Additionally, Killips Elementary School organized a Chick-Fil-A fundraiser, which the four Flagstaff branches ensured they ordered from so that 25 percent of their food costs were donated to funding the trip.
