Pima County Detectives Looking for Masked Cigarette Thief

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is spreading the word about a masked cigarette thief in hopes of finding the suspect.

This incident occurred on Tuesday, June 27 early in the morning around 5:30 a.m. Deputies were called to the Circle K located at 5818 South Nogales Highway for a report of a theft. Upon their arrival, deputies learned that the suspect had entered the store around 5:26 a.m., walked behind the counter, and started putting multiple packs of cigarettes into a black and blue duffel bag without paying for them.

The suspect took a sandwich as well as he fled the store around 5:28 a.m., running northbound. According to the Sheriff’s release, the suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his twenties,  approximately 5’11” tall, and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a hospital mask covering his nose and mouth, a dark-colored fedora mask, black long-sleeved shirt, black shorts, black shoes, and gloves.

Pima County Community Problems detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect, and anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1. You can also submit an anonymous tip, with the potential for a reward, by text, phone, or by going to 88-CRIME.org.
