With so many pets in need of a loving home, animal advocates are spreading the word about spaying and neutering. These important operations help limit the pet population and limit shelter overcrowding. While puppies and kittens are cute, there are enough available at shelters and breeders already, and controlling the population is important for the overall wellbeing of our furry friends.
To aid in this effort, Pima Animal Care Center is waiving redemption fees on all spayed or neutered lost pets! This means that if owners agree to have their unaltered pet spayed or neutered, there will be no extra charge to bring their animal back home.
Residents who have recently lost a pet are encouraged to visit the shelter at 4000 N. Silverbell Road or contact the Pet Support Center at 520-724-7222.
