A toddler was found wandering around a Phoenix neighborhood in the early morning hours on Friday.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to reports of a found child near 71st and Virginia avenues just after 4 a.m. The 2-year-old boy was located by a person in the neighborhood.
It took officers four hours to reunite the child with his parents, as they were not found in the same vicinity as the boy. The boy’s family was located around 8 a.m., and police say the child appears to be healthy.
The investigation into this incident, and why the boy was on his own, continues.
