Firefighters responded to a large fire earlier this month at a pallet yard in west Phoenix.
No injuries were reported in the blaze, although the flames could be seen for miles across the west Valley. Several tractor-trailer trucks were destroyed at the yard that stored 160,000 pallets near Buckeye Road and 67th Avenue.
The 2nd alarm fire remains under investigation by the Phoenix Fire Department. Earlier this summer in June, a similar fire broke out at another pallet yard near 31st and Grand avenues in Phoenix. Crews needed to fight the blaze aggressively to prevent the flames from spreading any further as other pallets were easily catching fire.
