
One of the most fun events to kick off the fall food event season in Phoenix is Phoenix Cooks. This amazing one-day event showcases some of the best food and drink in the Valley. Attendees will enjoy unlimited samples of food, wine, beer and spirits from the Valley’s top chefs and restaurants. The event benefits Special Olympics Arizona.
Phoenix Cooks takes place at the Westin Kierland (6902 E Greenway Pkwy., Scottsdale, AZ 85254) over Labor Day weekend on Saturday September 2, 2017. The Westin Kierland is offering a special resort and tickets package for Phoenix Cooks over Labor Day weekend – check the link for details. The event runs from 10am-3pm. Tickets are available now at the Phoenix Cooks website. iHeart Radio is the official organizer of this year’s Phoenix Cooks.
Among the star chefs attending are Justin Beckett, Christopher Gross and Robert McGrath.
- A popular, friendly presence in the Valley’s dining scene, Justin Beckett is the founder/owner of Beckett’s Table, which he launched in 2010 with partners to create one of the Valley’s desirable restaurant destinations. Beckett’s Table is currently hosting its popular Grown-Ups Table series of dinner at its namesake restaurant.
- Christopher Gross is the namesake founder of Christopher’s in Phoenix, a restaurant that has received many awards in its history. Christopher was the 2016 winner of the Scottsdale Culinary Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award.
- Robert McGrath is the founder/owner of Roaring Fork restaurant in Scottsdale, a James Beard award winner and the originator and previous host of “Check, Please! Arizona“, the local food TV show on PBS affiliate KAET.
Phoenix Cooks brings together the Valley’s serious foodies with the Valley’s best chefs to share a variety of samples of award-winning food and drinks served at restaurants throughout Phoenix. Participating restaurants include Orange Sky, The Dressing Room, Deseo, The Melting Pot, Conceptually Social and others.
