College students are invited to take a study break on Wednesday, March 29, and head to the Phoenix Art Museum for it’s first-ever college night.
From 6-9pm, college-age students from around the Valley are invited to experience the art museum, conveniently located in downtown Phoenix. They will have the chance to interact with this creative environment, perfect for exploring, learning, relaxing, and socializing.
Local organizations that engage with the college community will be on hand, and a number of the evening’s events will connect with one of the museum’s current exhibitions, Samurai Armor. In celebration of the Japanese culture and lifestyle, there will be two local DJs playing Japanese music, a gong meditation space, reduced-price tickets for students with a valid ID to view the Samurai exhibition ($2 instead of $5), a teaching artist leading an art-creation project, student performances of dance and spoken word, and food trucks serving Japanese food and much more.
Every Wednesday, the Phoenix Art Museum offers free admission from 3-9 pm. Local college students are encouraged to take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience the Phoenix Art Museum!
