Pedal Haus Goes for Gold at Acclaimed Beer Competitions

The up-and-coming brewery, Pedal Haus took home the gold from two internationally-recognized industry competitions so far this year.

Most recently, the downtown Tempe, Arizona brewery has proudly taken home the gold medal from the 2017 21st annual North American Beer Awards on June 2 for its Pedal Haus Light Lager and in doing so, Pedal Haus beat out household names like Coors Light, which received a bronze medal.

In April of this year at the Los Angeles International Beer Competition, Pedal Haus claimed the gold for the classic Pedal Haus Kölsch and an additional gold for the newly introduced, Pedal Haus Light Lager which is known for its heritage characteristics and light-bodied refreshing taste.

Founded by the successful hospitality visionary behind Fork & Dagger Inc., Julian Wright, the brewpub has cultivated a loyal following in just under two years of business and with the help of former BJ’s Restaurant and Brewery brewmaster, Derek “Doc” Osborne. The two have worked tirelessly to develop the perfect formulation that craft brew aficionados to the average beer drinker would love.

The most admirable quality of the Pedal Haus Light Lager is that it does not contain any adjunct ingredients to cut costs or lighten the beer. It contains an ABV of 3%, 104 calories, and 10 IBU’s.

The North American Brewer’s Association hosts the North American Beer Awards competition every year in Idaho Falls, Idaho with a panel of qualified judges including brewmasters from nationally-recognized breweries, craft draft connoisseurs from small, independent breweries, beer journalists and certified experts from all over the nation.

This is the 10th award win for Pedal Haus amongst other recent competitions including the North American Beer Awards and the Los Angeles International Beer Competition in 2016.

Pedal Haus Brewery is located at 730 S. Mill Ave., Tempe, and can be reached at (480) 314-2337 for more information.
