Parks in the Pines Event Celebrates National Park Service Centennial

The city of Flagstaff will join in statewide celebrations of the 2016 National Park Service Centennial with the “Parks in the Pines Birthday Bash!”

This fun family event will feature Arizona’s National Parks, National Monuments, Recreation Areas and much more! Families can browse educational displays and check out demonstrations by Park Rangers. There will be cultural performances and music from across Arizona and interactive, hands-on activities for visitors of all ages.

Make sure to check out the guided tours of the Flagstaff area within walking and biking distance from the event. The celebration will end with free birthday cake, and there will be food trucks available with food for purchase throughout the event.

The Southern Arizona Office of the National Park Service is proud to host Arizona’s event to celebrate the NPS Centennial. Our goal is to connect with, and create, the next generation of park visitors, supporters, and advocates.
