A domestic incident between a brother and a sister led to an officer-involved shooting in Queens.

NYPD officers responded to Shore Front Parkway in Rockaway Park around noon Tuesday, after receiving a report of an assault in progress. At the scene, they found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds to her upper arm. Police searched the area and found the suspect nearby, carrying a knife and wearing bloody clothing. Police described him as an emotionally disturbed person, and officers fired a single shot that hit the suspect in the leg. He was transported to Jamaica Hospital. 

A knife was recovered at the scene, and the female victim is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

No officers were injured in the incident, and charges are pending.
