BroadwayCon is set for Friday, January 26 through Sunday, January 28 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center (655 W. 34th St.).
Broadway’s most talented stars will be on hand to participate in discussions and panels, with scheduled appearances from Laura Benanti, Jenn Colella, Kelli O’Hara, Laura Osnes,
Anthony Rapp, Ruthie Ann Miles, Derek Klena, Lesli Margherita and many more.
There are many panels for guests to attend and learn more about the Broadway they know and love. More Than Fiddler!: Jews and Broadway Musicals will examine clips and songs by Jewish American Broadway musical luminaries of the past and present and discuss how Jewish culture has shaped the stage. Theatre on a Budget will discuss the challenges of producing theatre with minimal funds and explore ways to stretch dollars to get these shows up and running. Queer Women in Theatre will discuss representation of queer women on and off the stage in the theatre world, and how LGBTQ stories and characters can influence audiences.
