The New York Police Department is searching for the suspect in a Queens subway slashing incident.
The scary scene unfolded early Sunday morning on a northbound A train at the Beach-60th Street station. Police say the suspect walked up to a 21-year-old man who was seated on the train and slashed him across the left side of his face with a sharp object, leaving a large laceration. The suspect then left the train and fled the station, while the victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
The random attack and previous slashing incidents have left some subway riders on edge.
The suspect is described as a black man between the ages of 26 and 28, standing 5’8″ tall and 140 pounds. Police say he was last seen wearing a blue jacket with red and white on the front, and jeans and white sneakers.
