NYPD Searching For Suspect in Cab Driver Robbery

NYPD officers are on the look-out for a man who stole $700 and credit cards from a livery cab driver last month.

According to police, the 41-year-old driver picked up the suspect in Queens near Sanford Avenue and Main Street around 11:20 a.m. on Thursday, September 14. He first drove the man to Chinatown in Manhattan before taking him to a residence near 135th Street and 39th Avenue.

Police said the man asked the driver to go inside the residence and help retrieve his property. When the driver returned, the man was gone, along with three of his credit cards and $700 in cash.

The suspect is described as an Asian man in his late twenties with a medium complexion, brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt.
