Police Investigating Bronx Beating Death

New York Police Department detectives are investigating the violent death of a 40-year-old man in the Bronx.

The victim was attacked by a pair of assailants in the Parkchester section early Saturday morning.

Police say Pedro Adorno was approached by the two suspects around 4:30 a.m. The pair are captured on surveillance video talking with Adorno in front of a restaurant on Westchester Avenue before following him down Taylor Avenue.  They soon began hitting him, causing Adorno to fall multiple times. The attack continued until the men ran off, leaving Adorno with fatal injuries, including lacerations and contusions to his face. The man was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police say the men were likely trying to rob Adorno. Suspect one is described as an Hispanic male with a light complexion, approximately 30-35 years of age. He was last seen a green shirt with camouflage sleeves, blue jeans, and dark colored boots. Suspect two is also described as an Hispanic male with a light complexion, approximately 30-35 years of age. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and dark colored shoes.
