Halloween Dog Parade Promises Great Time for Furry Friends, Owners

Celebrate autumn and Halloween with your furry best friend!

The Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade is slated for Saturday, October 21. Join fellow New Yorkers at Tompkins Square Park for the tradition, where dogs let their alter-egos shine in some of the cutest and most creative costumes.

With thousands of dollars in prizes up for grabs, this will be an amazing afternoon for everyone who loves dogs or the spooky holiday! CNN labels it “the largest dog costume parade in the world” with hundreds of dogs in costumes and thousands of spectators taking in the sights.

The 27th Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade will run from noon to 3 p.m., rain or shine. The runway competition starts at noon, and a parade of all contestants and guests will follow after Best In Show is announced. Raffle and contest winners must be present at the end of the competition in order to receive their prize, otherwise it will be donated to charity.

Pre-registration is not necessary, and suggested donations is $5 at the door. Sponsorship proposals and marketing opportunities are available as well, and interested parties are encouraged to reach out to Garrett Rosso at  [email protected]
