NYPD Searching For Suspect in Subway Incident

The New York Police Department is searching for a man responsible for a violent subway incident last week.

The altercation began last Tuesday around 5 p.m. when the suspect encroached upon the victim as he sat down aboard a northbound E train. The subway was heading toward the 7th Avenue station in Midtown. When the victim was preparing to leave the train, the suspect allegedly spat on the back of her head. According to NYPD, both parties exited onto the platform when the the train arrived, and the victim attempted to stop the suspect by grabbing his backpack. The man then punched her in the shoulder and spat once more in her face before reboarding the train. He is described as a roughly 30-year-old, 5’9″ tall, and 150 pound Hispanic male.
