A new mural promoting peace will soon brighten up downtown Phoenix.
The 85′ x 15′ mural will be titled “So One May Walk in Peace,” and it is being funded by a recently-launched Kickstarter campaign. Derek Hofrichter, owner of EVKM Self Defense & Fitness (705 N. 1st St., Suite 105, Phoenix, AZ 85004), organized the campaign in an effort to spread an inspiring message of peace.
“So One May Walk in Peace” is a personal motto he instills in his self defense classes and with the new mural, he hopes to further spread this message of peace on the exterior of his building, especially at a time of a tumultuous political climate and ongoing violence in parts of the country.

Artist Caitlin Clifford is slated to begin work on the painting next week, and it is estimated that the mural will take about a month to complete.
