Steven Totten: Phoenix Business Journal | A new bar offering a classy drink has opened next to the light rail near downtown Phoenix.
Dirty Martini Bistro & Bar opened Dec. 4 off of Washington Street and 12th Street, according to The Arizona Republic.
The bar is under the teamwork of owner Louis Novak, a former police officer, and executive chef David Duarte, a former firefighter.
Novak has run restaurants in South Carolina and Duarte received his culinary training in southern Italy, studied pastry at Ecole Lenotre in France, and is formerly associated with Cor Tapas & Wine, which opened in late November in central Phoenix.
The restaurant offers 11 choices of martini, 10 craft cocktails, and dishes like Asian pork belly sliders, Cuban sandwich with smoked pulled pork and flatbreads. A full menu is to be released soon.
