New Expansion Coming to Scottsdale Fashion Square

Changes are coming to Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall.

Construction will begin in 2017 on an expansion project to the famous shopping center, which will include a new entrance, retail buildings and restaurants in the luxury shopping wing.

Set to open in fall 2018, the renovation will appear to luxury shoppers with a valet, private lounge, concierge, style consultants, personal shopping experts, and art exhibits.

Currently, the West Wing of the mall features an array of luxury retailers, including Cartier, Jimmy Choo, Coach, Neiman Marcus, Dillard’s and Bulgari.

The construction on the multi-phase project will add high-end residential units in a popular, bustling area of Scottsdale, as well as a hotel and office space just North of the mall, from Goldwater Boulevard to Scottsdale Road.

Macerich, the company that owns Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall, has several other expansive properties throughout the country, including Tysons Corner, Virginia. Expansion efforts at that complex have led to the opening of an office tower, luxury apartment complex and Hyatt Regency hotel. Scottsdale Fashion Square may be headed toward a similar future.

Since it’s opening in 1961, Fashion Square has undergone several expansions, including it’s major opening of Nordstrom and Tiffany & Co. In 2015, a brand new 14-screen Harkins theater and Dick’s Sporting Goods store joined the mall, which boasts over 200 shopping and dining options for visitors.
