Dog owners in the north Valley take heart! There is a brand new dog park coming to northern Phoenix. It will become part of Deer Valley Park. The location of the entire park is the west side of 19th Avenue, north of Union Hills Drive and south of the Loop 101 intersection. The dog park is in the southern area of the park and is in the midst of being constructed as we speak. It is expected to be complete in the Fall of 2017, which is practically around the corner from now.
I have driven past this and it looks like it will be spectacular for our four-legged friends. This dog park will be spacious and appears that it will include agility-type areas for more active dogs to enjoy. The outer fences are high and it is sure to have plenty of securable gates to prevent our babies from escaping and getting lost.
Dog owners remember these tips for the best experiences. Make sure your dog is sociable and not at all aggressive toward humans or other dogs. Bring a leash to secure him or her when it becomes necessary. Never leave your pets unattended. Last but not least, please clean up after your pooch. Nobody wants to be stepping in dog waste while attending this park.
Be on the lookout for the completion and official opening of our brand new dog park in our very own Deer Valley neighborhood.
