New Crosswalk Signal to be Activated at Cerritos and Altadena

A new High Intensity Activate Crosswalk Beacon (H.A.W.K. Beacon signal) pedestrian signal will be activated at Kyrene de los Cerritos Elementary and Kyrene Altadeña Middle School. The schools share a campus. The H.A.W.K. signal is a traffic control device that makes crossing busy streets easier for pedestrians.

Officials will hold a public ribbon cutting ceremony and demonstrate the proper way to use the pedestrian signal on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 9:00 to 10 :00 a.m. Area community members are invited to attend.
