
Several new board members will serve the southern Arizona community as part of the Sunnyside Unified School District’s Foundation.
Sunnyside recently revealed the addition of board members Celyna Cervantes, vice president of branch administration at Pima Federal Credit Union; Michael Barton, vice president of HDR and Eugenia Favela, Assistant TSuperintendent at SUSD.
The new board members will assist in achieving the foundation’s vision of providing “the resources needed for every Sunnyside Unified School District student to enjoy a comprehensive educational experience,” according to the official website.
The Foundation currently has their sights set on establishing a $1 million endowment fund to provide future funding for Excellence in Education Grants, Scholarships and Programs, says their website.
