Everyone knows that Glendale, Arizona, is well-stocked with a plethora of some of the greatest burger bars found anywhere in the United States.
However, what may not be so well known is that the wonderful burger restaurants found in Glendale are only the tip of the culinary iceberg when it comes to the wonderful restaurants and dining spots locals and tourists alike can find.
While Glendale may not have any Michelin Star rated restaurants, that does not mean there is no top-notch grub available that is sure to set your taste buds on edge and meals that are as creative and challenging as they are delicious and fun.
Here are a few of the highlights of the Glendale culinary scene:
Gordon Biersch
Perfect for a pint and a steak, or maybe some of their infamous garlic fries after a Cardinals game, or even to watch the game if you don’t have tickets. Gordon Biersch has a tasty menu full of fan favorites, as well as plenty of craft beer, both from their brewery and from guest brewers.
La Piazza al Forno
Looking for a slice of some truly classic, and fantastic pizza? This brick oven pizzeria and Italian kitchen is the place to go. Even if you are not staying in, or close to Historic Glendale, the homemade mozzarella and homemade dough on these oven baked pizzas make them worth the trek.
Cafe’ Ga Hyang
If you are looking for some high-quality food at any time of the day, Cafe Ga Hyang is the place for you. Open very late, this Korean restaurant is not the normal burger and fries joint that one normally thinks of when they think of Glendale cuisine. Here you will be taken on a gastronomic adventure as you try spicy seafood noodles, noodles in bean sauce, or various other traditional Korean dishes.
