East Valley’s Powerhouse Orthopaedic Surgeons Lead Informational Session on Saturday, Jan. 27
The number of Americans living with severe joint pain is on the rise. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that nearly 15 million people now live with joint discomfort, which can seriously compromise a person’s quality of life. Joint pain, which is often linked to arthritis, can be reduced through smart exercise. Lifestyle changes are critical to helping improve joint pain, and even preventing it in the first place.
Mountain Vista Medical Center Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Brian McWhorter and his colleagues have decades of experience understanding the root causes of joint pain, and how to help patients live their best life through an active lifestyle.
To help bring greater awareness to the importance of maintaining good bone and joint health, a powerhouse team of leading Valley orthopaedic surgeons from Mountain Vista Medical Center will be holding a FREE Bone & Joint Health seminar on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., at DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix-Gilbert (1800 S. Santan Village Parkway in Gilbert).
During the community event, Dr. Brian McWhorter, Dr. Michael Gifford, and Dr. Andrew Wellman will offer tips on how to keep your joints healthy and pain-free. Specifically, attendees will learn:
- How to cope with arthritis and other common conditions associated with aging;
- Lifestyle choices and appropriate activity levels; and
- Advancements in joint treatments including MAKO®robotic-arm-assisted joint replacement surgery for hips and knees.
